  1. 1.I love all things science fiction. Some favorites: Ender’s Game, The Fifth Element, and Torchwood.

  2. 2.I get most of my science fiction news at io9.

  3. 3. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are my favorite band, and I’ve actually traveled with my friends to see him play in various states.

  4. 4. Reading fanfiction is a guilty pleasure - one that I don’t have much time for these days.

  5. 5.Ken and I met in 1995 because of a song: Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Deep Blue Something. We’ve been together ever since.

  6. 6.I was the first woman in the family to earn a Ph.D.

  7. 7.I read the Harry Potter series at least four times. Yet, oddly enough, I haven’t read the Twilight series.

  8. 8. I’m a big fan of Doctor Who, especially the 10th Doctor, David Tennant (who also had a role in the Harry Potter movies).

  9. 9. I went to sleep-away camp for more than a decade - those were some of the best times of my life. 

  10. 10. We have been a foster home for 4 dogs (3 were German Shepherds).

  11. 11. I love to swim, and I used to be a lifeguard.
